Ken Mayhew was a strong supporter of the Suffolk Regiment Museum and the Regimental Association for many years. The Museum is honoured to support this outstanding film.

The Museum holds a wealth of artefacts and archival material covering the Regiment’s history from 1685 until 1959.

Visitors to the Museum can be assured of a friendly and knowledgeable welcome from the Curator and team of volunteers.

Following a refresh of the gallery and displays, the Museum will reopen on Wednesday 3rd July 2024.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

The Museum is located in the historic Keep, Gibraltar Barracks, Bury St Edmunds and have a gallery at Moyse’s Hall Museum in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. The displays record the regiment’s proud history from 1685 until amalgamation with the Royal Norfolk Regiment, in 1959.

The museum is run by a board of trustees, all of whom serve on a voluntary basis. Our sole employee is our Curator, Miss Claire Wallace. A number of volunteers generously help in the running of the museum. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team please contact us.
